Dog obedience training is a necessity for anybody with an out of control pup or grown dog.  Being a dog owner myself, I know and understand how the unconditional love from your dog or puppy dog can truly brighten up a home and your life.

My other half and I welcomed a new puppy A.J.  around a year ago and he has been a great dog.  Now on the down side he is consistently barking at other dogs and folk to indicate where it is really starting to irritate me.  So irrespective of how terrible your dog is the neatest thing that we have done and you need to as well is to get some sort of training.

Here are some things that my wife and I have learned when we took A.J. through training.

    1.  Never ask your dog to do something that she or he can get out of.  This may cause disappointment with your dog and in turn the dog won’t reply well.  Rather, try respecting dog’s behavior and act accordingly at the initial stage.

    2.  Sounds easy but it is fantastic how well it works and how many forget or take this point for granted.  Reward your dog for good behavior.

    3.  Never punish or scold your dog under training.  A punishment will put in negative feelings into your dog.

    4.  Lastly, penalize your dog for not behaving, now this does not necessarily mean punish, there is a difference.  Penalize your dog by taking away something or do something that she does not like such as a jerk of the leash.

Having a dog provides so many great benefits but would not like to have a pet that listens and isn’t destructive?  Of course you do who would not.  Does what my wife and I did and get some training for your dog you actually will not regret the decision to do so?

How is your dog’s behavior?  Are you constantly apologizing for what your dog did when you’re not at home or better yet saying sorry to folks when he barks at them or their dogs?  Well people it’s time to put a stop it with secrets to Dog Training Home Course.

An allergic reaction to dogs is one of the reasons why some people would not dare to get a dog for a pet. Dogs are commonly blamed for the clogged nose, watery eyes, the sneezing and the general feeling of fatigue. Allergies can get worse and develop into asthma and as it is commonly believed that dog hair triggers an allergic reaction, people would hesitate to get a dog for a pet. A person sensitive to allergens would not take the word of a breeder that the non-shedding dog being offered is hypoallergenic.

The belief that all dogs can trigger an allergic reaction will make some people avoid these loving and loyal animals. An allergic reaction is caused by dog dander and not by the dog itself. Dogs continuously shed dander which are actually dead skin cells. These small flakes of dead skin will collect on the dog’s fur, on the furniture and walls and on the carpeting. People has the inclination to hug the pet thus dog dander that has accumulated ion the dog’s fur can be transferred to the dog owner’s clothes. Once the dander gets airborne it will stick to other surfaces and remain in the environment. A person sensitive to these allergens will start to exhibit allergic symptoms once the dander is inhaled.

Dog dander should not stop anyone from getting a dog for a pet. Getting rid of the pet is not a viable option given that fact that dander that stays in the environment will continuously trigger allergic attacks. Total removal of dog dander is not possible but a dog owner can reduce dog dander inside the home.

Good grooming would do a lot to lessen the amount of dog dander. Regular brushing will not only enhance the appearance of the dog as dead hair will be removed but it will also improve the distribution of the natural oils that moisturize the skin. Dog with well moisturized skin will produce less dander. To reduce the amount of dander inside the house grooming the dog must be done outside. Moisturizing shampoos used in bathing the dog will improve the condition of the skin thereby reducing dog dander.

Carpets and rugs would give the home a regal and cozy look but these are very efficient dander catchers. Dog owners would need to use the vacuum cleaner more often not only to remove dog shedding but also to cut down the amount of dog dander in the environment.
